About the Artist, Lucy Lambert Hays
Lucy Lambert Hays has been an artist all of her life. She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Visual Arts, but then she got a real job. No more making art. After twelve years as a customer service and distribution manager for a multi-national company, Lucy started her business creating hand painted gift items. Since 1994 she has enjoyed selling her clocks, light switches, and Christmas ornaments at art shows up and down the eastern half of the country. Three years ago, she started working in glass. About Lucy’s work: Lucy has always felt that she received the ultimate gift when she made someone smile. Her work is geared towards reaching that goal. She takes great pleasure in creating beautiful artwork that brings pleasure to people. Her art subjects are happy ones.
Lucy likes to think that she is a Renaissance woman, which allows her to explore a number of different artistic mediums. Three years ago she followed her desire and learned stained glass techniques. Her design style is well suited to glass, and her glass work will be added to this website within the month.
NEW WORK COMING: In addition to Lucy’s work, expect prints of original paintings by several friends to be arriving soon. Iris Shafer and Donna Gurganious are both painters who love animals, and their work glows with that love.
